A Moment Frozen

I love that a picture captures a moment in time.  That it freezes a smile when they weren't readily handed out. That it gives you a glimpse of personality. That as you look at it you can only image what a day holds for a growing mind. And for that brief moment you know a whole morning overshadowed by a need for a nap and a snack was completely successful in showing a happy, curious, 18 month old. I am so glad that on especially this day, that's exactly what these photos accomplished.

Personality Makes All The Difference

I can't even begin to express my joy during this photo session. This whole family was adorable and I had a wonderful creative director (who happens to only have been on this earth for about 4 years). The poses were almost all her ideas and she was great at showing her brother how to take a good photo as well. And although I would love to share this whole session, here are the highlights:

Eli's Half Birthday!

I was able to photograph Eli on a beautiful evening in a new location. We had a few hidden smiles behind the fingers and he did such a good job complete with a wardrobe and location change. I love doing these 1st year milestones and watching the kiddos as they grow. Carter Gates- 6 month

This was a special day as we recognized the half year mark for this little guy! It was also extra special because he JUST learned to sit up that very morning and he did a great job showing off his new found talent.  Boulder, Colorado provided a beautiful backdrop for this little guy's 6 month birthday photos.
